Building a software framework for picking different component types with different robot arms/grippers. Prodrive production uses tens of thousands of different components to create thousands of different products. To minimize the number of wrong picks and enable 24/7 production we want to automate most component picking as soon as possible. In order to do this, we need a software framework to support the picking of different type of components. This should be flexible enough to support different type of grippers or even different ways of handling components, next to that it should be easy to learn new components, types, and grippers.
